Ms. Carol Sue McKnight, age 71, of Bonifay, Florida passed away April 17, 2021 at her home. She was born January 4, 1950 in Bonifay, Florida to the late Cliff Jay Register and Eva Irene Owens Register. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James Willis ‘Jimmy’ McKnight, two daughters, Valerie Maxine Shirley and Wanda Jones Gainey, one sister, Lorene Ross and two brothers, Cleon Register and Raburn Register.
Ms. McKnight was survived by one son, Michael Jones and wife Barbara Williams of Bonifay, FL; one daughter, Eva McKnight Hathaway and husband Keith of Dothan, AL; eight grandchildren, Melinda Worthy, James Gibson and wife Megan, Christopher Anders and wife Mary, Derek Anders and wife Kristin, John Jones, Brandon Jones, Cody Jones, and Tyler Jones and wife Katherine; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Anders, Colton Anders, Adalyn Anders, Emersyn Anders, and Kipton Anders; one brother, Hulon Register of Bonifay, FL; one sister, Betty Stewart of Mariann, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 23, 2021, at Amazing Grace Church with Rev. Bobby Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Izagora Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
