Ms. Doris Carmichael Padget, age 77, of Bonifay, Florida passed away December 20, 2024, at her home. She was born June 15, 1947, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Broward Carmichael and Pletta Sims Carmichael. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Reo Foy Padgett, one son, Kim Mitchell Padgett, and four brothers, Billy Carmichael, Broward Carmichael, James Carmichael, and Buddy Carmichael.
Ms. Padgett is survived by her four children, Charlotte Ann Padgett, Carlin Jennifer Padgett, Kenny Foy Padgett and Holley, and Tracy Lee Padgett all of Bonifay, FL; eleven grandchildren, Jessica, Meagan, Kyle, Becky, Norie, Kele, Casey, Annabell, James, Leah, and Reo; five great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Noah, Erin, Julie, and Carman; two sisters, Dorothy Bryant and Delores Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2024, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
