Mrs. Marcia June Jernigan, age 69, of Bonifay, Florida passed away March 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 3, 1953, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to the late Remus French and Carol June Lewis French. In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Martin ‘Marty’ French and Kent French.
Marcia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Jernigan of Bonifay, FL; three children, Bobby Jernigan and wife Tiffany, Jamie Jernigan and wife Rehana, and Paula Thompson and husband Scott; nine grandchildren, Balin, Alia, Harleigh, Hemingway, Yasmine, Qasim, Siobhan, Xander, and Kaitlin; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church.
