Mrs. Maurice Harcus Padgett, age 92, of Panama City, Florida passed away September 18, 2020 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. She was born October 21, 1927 in Holmes County Florida to the late Grafton Harcus and Evie Dickerson Harcus. In addition to her parents, Maurice was preceded in death by her husband, Jerhon Padgett, two daughters, Vernel Padgett and Voncil Whisman, one son, Randall Padgett and eight brothers.
Mrs. Padgett is survived by a daughter-in-law, Johanna Padgett of Panama City, FL; a son-in-law, Donald Whisman of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Sarhonda Pitkus, Kevin Whisman, and Christina Spikes; six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2020, in the Gully Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
