"Jackie" Lindsey Hernandez 1953-2023

Our hearts are broken as we all mourn the loss of our beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt -- Jackie.

Jackie was quick witted and would have made a good attorney. She asked lots of questions. Not to be nosey, but to gather information. She did this from a place of love and wanting to help. She loved her family and friends fiercely and protectively. She was like a 2nd mom to many of us.

But even better, she was also a Spiritual Mom. She knew Jesus and was quick to share a Bible Verse with you. She would pray with you, encourage you, and if you needed it correct you. This correction always came from a place of love.

Although our hearts are sad, we have peace in knowing that she is with Jesus.

Jackie is preceded in death by her Son, David Allen Lindsey, her Father, Billie Paul Lindsey and her Brother, Jimmy Ray Lindsey.

Jackie is survived and will be missed by her Husband of 37 years, Enrique (Henry) Hernandez from Dothan, AL and their Daughter, JoAnna Hernandez from Prattville, AL, her Mother, Geraldine Lindsey from Chipley, FL, her Siblings, Kathy (Tony) Jernigan from Columbia AL, Paul (Mary) Lindsey from Enfield, CT, Christine (Rick) Sugars from Chipley, FL and Angela (Mike) Pippin from Bonifay, FL. She was also blessed with many nieces, nephews and cousins that held a special place in her heart.

We will miss our loved one, as will those she impacted throughout her life, her family and friends.

Our family will be holding a celebration of her life service. The service will be held at Peel Funeral Home (301 E Evans Ave. Bonifay, FL 32425) on Wednesday June 28, 2023, at 11 a.m. The Family will receive friends15 minutes prior to the service. The Internment will be at the Westville Cemetery in Westville, FL.

“God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes

and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.

The former things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:3,4)
