Mr. James Allen Leavins, age 48, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away May 29, 2023. He was born April 15, 1975, in Bonifay, Florida. James was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Lamar Leavins and Shirley Ann Leavins.
James enjoyed fishing, especially deep-sea fishing, his pet snakes, hunting, riding dirt roads, swimming, spending time with his kids, and driving his dirt track racecar. He worked at Seaview Glass and Mirror and several other glass companies before that.
Mr. Leavins is survived by his wife, Deana Leavins; children, James Allen Michael Oglesby, Daisy Ward and Hunter, DaKota Leavins and Jesse, Destiny Lacole Leavins and Tommy Meeks, Wyatt Boyer, and Shyann Leavins; niece, Josie Collins, but more like a daughter, along with Ashtian Bellais, Justin Messer, and Miranda Carroll; sisters, Rebecca Day Edgar, Linna Carroll, and Amanda Collins; special uncle, Jackie Ray Powell and several more aunts and uncles; one grandchild, LeeAnn; numerous cousins, family and friends that was like family; and loved by his girlfriend, Sunny Murphree.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 PM Monday, June 5, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, Florida. Memorialization will be by cremation.
