LETHA MYRL MARELL

Letha Myrl Marell, age 79, was born in Graceville, Florida to Joseph Richard and Lula Hinson Deen on March 16, 1946. She entered Heaven on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Letha was raised attending Salem Methodist Church. She graduated from Graceville High School,  attended Riley’s Business College in Dothan, Alabama, and Cosmetology School in Chipley, Florida. Letha’s career choices included cosmetology and several service oriented businesses. Probably her favorite position was being the “Merle Norman lady”  in Chipley for many years. She loved all things pink, gold and pretty, antiques, unique furniture, and bragging about her children, grands, and greatgrands. 

She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Roger Marell. Her children are Teresa Sims (Tim), Julie Sellers (Randy), and Richard Marell. Letha was “Granny” to Melanie Sims, Mollie McGuire (Marcus), Hunter Crews, Jewel Roberson (Brett), and Dylin Bateman. Her great-grands are Mary Brooke Sims, Bentley Roberson, Ridge McGuire, Tristan McGuire, Jaylin McGuire, Makynlei McGuire, and Easton McGuire, and sister-in- law, Wanda Langford.  

Services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Salem Methodist Church, 354 Tri-County Rd, Graceville, Florida. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and the service at 2:00, officiated by Pastor Steven Ashbrook. 

The family extends their love and gratitude to the extended family, the church family at Salem Methodist, Molly Rustin, and the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice for their care and support during this time.
