Mr. Joey Carl Garner, age 68, of Bonifay, Florida passed away March 11, 2025, at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida. He was born September 25, 1956, in Chipley, Florida. Joey was preceded in death by his father, Grady Clarence Garner, his mother, Irene Forehand Garner Barlow, one sister, Corene Gay, and two grandchildren, Payton Locke and Dylan Garner. Joey served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Garner is survived by five children, Joshua Garner and wife Julie, Beverly Morrison and husband Blake, Michele Cobb and husband Terry, Andrea Holderness and husband Jon, and Joseph Garner; twelve grandchildren, Zephaniah Garner, Japeth Garner, Kaizley Morrison, Colter Morrison, Tide Cobb, Isla Cobb, Jayde Works, Dani Holderness, Maverick Holderness, Joseph Garner Jr., Trenton Garner, and Kennedy Garner; seven siblings, Bertha Lean Miller, Myrtle Coleman, Ethel Nicholson-Michelotti and husband Romano, Ludene Harris, Elaine Bailes and husband Delbert, Jimmy Garner and wife Lisa, and Roy Garner and wife Carol; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Winterville Assembly of God Church, 1897 HWY 177A Bonifay, FL. Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
