Stephen “Steve” Randall White, age 64 of Bonifay, FL, passed away unexpectedly April 7, 2024, at home. He was born in Alabama on October 3, 1959, to Lloyd and Fern White.
Steve was charismatic and loved life to the fullest. If you ever met him, you instantly could be drawn in with his easy-going attitude, smile, and charm. He said not long ago that his greatest accomplishment in life was his three daughters. His love of playing music and songwriting was a true trademark of Steve. And if you gave him a song title he would start singing it as best he could. He loved to laugh, talk about his precious mama, celebrate and share the achievements of his three girls, and support his grandchildren every chance he got. He was so excited to be a grandfather and later a great-grandfather. He left such a profound mark on more people than can be counted and his presence on this Earth will be missed more than words can convey.
Steve is survived by his mother, Fern White of Wilmer, TX; three daughters: Charity Buntin (Tim) of Tallahassee, FL, Jill Cook (Lyndon) of Bonifay, FL, and Megan Byers (Troy) of Defuniak Springs, FL; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Kristi White of Wilmer, TX; best friend and loving companion, Karen Dodd; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Vernon Community Center.
