
Ms. Trudell Miller, age 85, of Bonifay, Florida passed away February 20, 2025, at Bonifay Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born November 11, 1939, in Gritney, Florida to the late King William and Bessie Sellers.
Trudell was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She retired from the Florida Department of Corrections where she worked as a correctional officer at Crestview and as the Correctional Officer Sergeant at Caryville Work Camp. She loved to read, cook, work in her yard, go shopping and she loved to travel. Her home and the beach were her happy places.
Trudell is preceded in death by her son, Michael O’Neal Miller and five siblings, LeeRoy Sellers, Edward Sellers, K. W. Sellers, Jr., Louvenia French and Nadine Wheeler.
Trudell is survived by her two daughters, Janet George and husband Kim of Chipley, FL and Lynn Ponds and husband Tom of Bonifay, FL; two grandchildren, Leigh Anna Soler and husband Julio and Clay George and wife Haley all of Henderson, NV; six grandchildren, Hudson George, Isabela Soler, Cooper George, Mateo Soler, Beckham George, and Daisy George; two sisters, Lucy Jones of Wetumpka, AL and Pat Matthews of Bonifay, FL as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all nurses and staff at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center as well as Emerald Coast Hospice and Vitas Hospice for the care and love they provided to Trudell and her daughters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2025, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Sellers Cemetery in Caryville with Peel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM Monday at Peel Funeral Home.
