Mr. Wilton Wesley Jones, age 73, of Chipley, Florida passed away December 25, 2021, at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. He was born September 27, 1948, in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Wyatt Wade Jones and Gladys King Jones. In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and Abe Meinema and one son, Charles McClendon.
Mr. Jones is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Weeks and husband Daryl of Chipley, FL; one son, John Jones of Arcadia, FL; two grandchildren, Samantha Harris and Hunter Weeks and wife Chasity; one great-grandchild, Kolton Weeks; two brothers, Robert Jones and wife Joyce of Georgetown, GA and Allen Jones of Donalsonville, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 31, 2021, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 31, 2021, at Rocky Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, 3146 Creek Church Road, Ashford, AL 36312. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Peel Funeral Home in Bonifay.
