Annie Margaret Williams Vanlandingham, the youngest daughter of Ernest and Lelia Cook Williams, passed away early on May 4, 2025 due to complications after a brief illness. Though her passing was unexpected, as life often is, Annie left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity that will be cherished by all who knew her.

As the last of the Williams clan's 15 siblings, Annie lived a life that was truly well-lived, filling the hearts of everyone she touched with joy and inspiration. A talented artist, she painted beautifully and arranged flowers with a flair that earned her numerous accolades. She was a whiz in the kitchen and well known for her cornbread and pound cakes. Annie’s dedication to her community was exemplified through her involvement in the Bonifay, Florida and Morgan City, Louisiana Garden Clubs. While in Morgan City, she was recognized with the highest honor - the key to the city.

Annie's love of beauty and community extended far beyond her garden club involvement. She was a world traveler, exploring stateside and abroad, always seeking new experiences and adventures. Wherever she resided, Annie was actively engaged in her community, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.

Annie's philosophy was simple yet profound: "Kindness - treat everyone with kindness." Her free spirit and generous heart inspired countless people to live life with intention and compassion. A lover of animals, she shared her home and heart with them, showering them with kindness and love.

Annie is survived by her children: Randy Vanlandingham (Diane) of Bonifay, Florida, Donna V. Morrison of Westville, Florida and Willie Vanlandingham (Corine) of Bonifay, Florida.

Annie is also survived by her three granddaughters and their children:

- Teresa Vanlandingham (Charles) of Stillwater, Oklahoma and her children: Hayden Ring of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Mallory Deaver (Brennan) of Piedmont, Oklahoma.

- Nicole Rivard (Buddy) of Stillwater, Oklahoma and her children: Wyatt Rivard of Morrison, Oklahoma and Weston Rivard of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

- Layla Morrison of Chandler, Arizona and her children: Corbin Griffin of Seattle, Washington, Emma Griffin of Orange, Texas, Hannah Griffin of Chandler, Arizona and Lizzie Griffin of Chandler, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lacey Vanlandingham, and husbands, Paul Vanlandingham and Charles Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a Humane Society or Animal Rescue organization of your choice to honor Annie's love for all animals. A memorial to celebrate Annie's life will be held at Bonifay Women’s Club on Saturday, September 27th from 2-4 p.m.

Rest in peace, Annie. Your love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
