Mrs. Barbara Annette Parrish Snodgrass, age 75, of New Brockton, Alabama passed away April 25, 2024, at her home. She was born January 28, 1949, in Monticello, Florida to the late Quinton Linley Parrish and Voncile Hendrix Parrish. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by four brothers, Norman Parrish, Joseph Parrish, Anthony Parrish, and David Parrish, and one sister, Margie Cooper.
Barbara was known for her passion for fishing. She dedicated herself to caring for children, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. Barbara's enthusiasm for yard sales brought her joy, as did her active involvement at Goodman Baptist Church. Above all, she cherished moments spent with her family, finding happiness in their presence.
Mrs. Snodgrass is survived by her husband of 58 years, Johnny Lee Snodgrass; five children, Carl W. Snodgrass and wife Shannon, John W. Snodgrass and wife Stephanie, Douglas W. Snodgrass and wife Melissa, Liane Snodgrass Wrinn and husband, Victor, Johnny R. Snodgrass and wife Jean; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret French, Brenda McDaniel, and Janice Skinner and husband Ronald; one brother, Rodney Parrish; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Pleasant Grove Church, 2430 Shakey Joe Road, Caryville, FL. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at Pleasant Grove Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Ronald Lee, 5809 Doughlas Ferry Road, Caryville, FL 32427.
