BOBBY LEE TIDWELL


Rev. Bobby Lee Tidwell, age 84, of Bonifay, Florida went to be with his Lord on April 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 8, 1938, in Thomas County Georgia to the late Andrew Carl Tidwell and Izzie Cleo Gravitt Tidwell. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one son, B. Phillip Tidwell, four sisters, Juanita Tidwell, Gertrude Cooper Salgado, Katherine Reeves, and Retha Mae Upton Muggridge, and two brothers, W.D. Tidwell and James Tidwell.


Rev. Tidwell is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, June Warner Tidwell, his three children, Jacklen Schroeter (David), Donna Adcock, and Calvin Tidwell; five grandchildren, Bryan Tidwell (Beth), Christina Schroeter (Damien Joly), Michael Schroeter (Sabrina), Brittany Stickle (Ian Lundstrom), and Nicholas Stickle; five great-grandchildren, Victoria Tidwell, Sophia Schroeter, Ava Schroeter, Evalyn Sechrest, and Enzo Joly; four sisters, Frances Vinson, Rozell Biles, Runelle Flowers, Shirley Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews.


Bobby was full of the love if life, full of energy always ready to lend a helping hand or accept any invitation to go and do anything, especially if it involved a meal. He enjoyed playing basketball, water skiing, playing dominos, and anything with building and construction.


His true passion was his love for people, so the Lord called him to be a pastor in 1963, he assisted Pastored for several years in Chicago, then Pastored for 30 years in Northwest Indiana. Until his final move to Bonifay/Esto area in 1998 and establishing Faith Fellowship Assembly.


Bobby always worked hard providing for his four children, working a full-time job along with full-time Pastor responsibilities, doing all this with his wife and lifelong partner for close to 67 years. They were both seventeen years old when they married and they frequently would say they grew up together raising a family, growing in faith, and ministering. He is leaving a remarkable imprint on so many. The angels rejoiced when they welcomed him.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 11, 2022, at Amazing Grace Faith Fellowship Church with Rev. Danny Carnley officiating. Interment will follow in the Esto Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at Amazing Grace Faith Fellowship Church. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately following the graveside prayer.


Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Tidwell, Michael Schroeter, Earl Bodie, Michael Jones, John Jones, and Brandon Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be David Schroeter, Hilton Padgett, Elton Calloway, and Maxie Yates.
