Ms. Carole Anne Brooke Cannon, age 82, of Bonifay, Florida passed away June 5, 2024, at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 31, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio to the late James ‘Jim’ Reginald Brooke and Mary Catherine ‘Mary Kay’ Page Brooke. In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Jack Cannon.

Carole was a dedicated professional, well-known in her community for her commitment and passion in the real estate industry where she was a realtor broker and operator of Carole Cannon Realty.

She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was the center of her world. A devoted Christian, Carole found joy in her faith, attending church regularly and actively participating in her church community.

Carole grew up in Naples, Florida and graduated from Naples High School in 1960. Carole was an active member of the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce, where she made significant contributions to local business development.

She had a passion for cooking and was an avid collector of cookbooks and recipes. She enjoyed countless hours gardening and canning vegetables. Her love for literature was profound, and she spent countless hours immersed in books.

Ms. Cannon is survived by her daughter, Angela Cannon Carter and husband Joe of Tuscola, IL; two grandchildren, Tatiana ‘Tasha’ Mauzy and Tiffany Wilson and husband Brent; four great-grandchildren, Korbin Wilson, Kasen Mauzy, Knox Wilson, and Kash Wilson; three brothers, Mike Brooke, Steve Brooke, and Pat Brooke; one sister, Jean James; numerous nieces and nephews; special lifelong friends and neighbors, Dennis and Cynthia Sims.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Boroughs officiating. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Assembly of God Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Monday at Peel Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Sims, Brent Wilson, Shane Gould, Rev. Joseph Carter, David Kleiss, and Jeff Brooke. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kasen Mauzy and Korbin Wilson.
