Mr. Charles Aubrey Chitty, age 85, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away December 7, 2023, at his home. He was born September 14, 1938, in Bonifay, Florida. Mr. Chitty was preceded in death by his father, Henry Elmer Chitty and his mother, Corine French Cox.
Mr. Chitty is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Watford Chitty of DeFuniak Springs, FL; three children, Charles ‘Chuck’ Chitty and wife Angie of Lexington, MS, Scott Chitty and wife Thea of Benton, MS, and Clay Chitty of Tallahassee, FL; four grandchildren, Whitney Stokes and husband Michael, Hannah Chitty, Ethan McCormick and wife Bailey, and Sarah-Ann Chitty; two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Reagan; one sister, Sue Chitty Lott and husband Doug of Perry, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
