Mrs. Christine Elaine Coatney, age 86, of New Hope, Florida passed away September 20, 2021, at her home. She was born April 26, 1935, in Ebro, Florida to the late Angus Gordon Hammack and Alvie Gypsy Stanley Hammack. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coatney was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Hammack, C.L. Hammack, and Cliff Hammack.
Mrs. Coatney is survived by four children, Durand Coatney and wife Patricia, Belinda Gainey and husband Jimmy, Shirlana Brock, and Jackie Coatney and wife Tammy all of Vernon, FL; 12 grandchildren, Kristy Kolmetz, Brent Gainey, Brad Gainey, Waylon Yates, Jeric Yates, Jaclyn Coatney, Jayde Coatney, Jason Coatney, Jeremy Coatney, Callie Evans, Haley Smith, and Lacey Wiggins; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hammack and Vera Hammack both of Vernon, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 24, 2021, at New Hope Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at New Hope Methodist Church.
