Mrs. Christine Louise Creech Helmes, age 70, of Bonifay, Florida passed away January 19, 2023, at her home. She was born August 4, 1952, in Clermont, Florida to the late Charles Clevie Creech and Lucille Hall Creech. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Helmes was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Creech, Roy Creech, Leland Creech, and Adrian Creech, Sr. and one sister, Diane Dennis.
Mrs. Helmes is survived by her husband Bill Helmes of Bonifay, FL; two sons, Jerry Helmes and wife Joan of Bonifay, FL and Donnie Helmes and wife Jodie of Geneva, AL; five grandchildren, April Helmes of Bonifay, FL, Johnathan Helmes and wife Allison of Bonifay, FL, Ashley Helmes of Bonifay, FL, Cody Blackburn of Geneva, AL, and Alex Mclean and wife Lea of Geneva, AL; one great-grandson, Colton Strickland of Bonifay, FL; one brother, Jimmy Creech and wife Linda of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL; two sisters, Carolyn Blizzard and husband Frankie of Webster, FL and Shirley Barajas of Arcadia, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Smith Chapel Assembly of God Church, 2549 Smith Chapel Road, Bonifay, Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2023, at Smith Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Richbourg officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Chapel Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
