It is with great sadness that the family of Delores Stricklen announces her passing on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of 72.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loran L. Cook and Annie Oneta Barber Cook, her sisters, Annie Lou Watford and Evelyn Berkley and brothers, Paul Cook and Lonnie Cook.
Delores will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa Hymel (Jeff) of Bradenton, FL; her son, Christopher Taylor (Christina) of Vernon, FL; special friend, Walter Smith of Bonifay, FL; three sisters, Berneice Street of Lagrange, GA, Barbara Hauffe (Earl) of Bonifay, FL, Mary Heiney (Terry) of Laguna Beach, CA; two brothers, Charles Cook (Sandra) of Cookeville, TN and Phillip Cook (Freida) of Bonifay, FL along with countless other family and friends.
Delores enjoyed working in her yard, fishing in her pond, and reminiscing with others. She touched many lives as a member of the community and her presence will be missed.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 27, 2022, at St. John’s Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. John's Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 748 St. John Road, Bonifay, Florida 32425.
