Mrs. Dianna Sunday Townsend Callahan, age 66, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away September 5, 2021, at her home. She was born August 9, 1955, in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Samuel John Henry Townsend and Lorine Emory Townsend. In addition to her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Townsend and Bruce Townsend, one sister, Tonya Powell, and one grandchild, Ethan Callahan.
Mrs. Callahan is survived by her husband, Willie D. Callahan of Ponce de Leon, FL; two sons, Chris Callahan and wife Rose of Ponce de Leon, FL and Landon Callahan and wife Elvie of Ponce de Leon, FL; one step-son, Randy Callahan of Ponce de Leon, FL; one step-daughter, Kimm Callahan Bishop and husband Tracy of Westville, FL; five grandchildren, Matthew Callahan, Dalton Callahan, Austin Callahan, Taylor Callahan, and Makenzie Callahan; one great-grandchild, Weston Callahan; two brothers, Earl Townsend and wife Darlene of Ponce de Leon, FL, and Junior Hall and wife Patricia of Westville, FL; two sisters, Lavone Hall of Westville, FL and Camille Birge and husband Eddie of Westville, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2021, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Old Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at Peel Funeral Home.
