DONALD CARIEL LEVENS SR.

Donald Cariel Levens, Sr., 87, of Bonifay, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 20, 2024. He was born on March 29, 1937, in Caryville, FL, and later moved to Port St. Joe, FL.

While attending Port St. Joe High School, he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Howard, and they were married on September 6, 1955. Life took them many places, but they settled in Bonifay, FL. He was a member of Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church for many years.

Donald was known far and wide for his musical talent. He played guitar for 75 years, but, if it had strings on it, he could play it. When Donald picked up a guitar and effortlessly touched those strings, you not only heard the music, but felt it deep down in your soul.

Donald was blessed with many things in life, but the one thing he cherished most was his family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Ann; two sons, Donald Cariel Levens, Jr. (Patti), of Lynn Haven, FL, and Keith Levens (Debbie), of Brandon, FL; three daughters, Debbie Powell (Owen), of Bonifay, FL; Kim Kneiss (Craig), of Bonifay, FL; and Tracey Harper (Dwayne), of Gordon, AL; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and another on the way.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cariel David Levens; his mother, Maude Jahaize Levens; his brother, James Grady Levens; his daughter, Stacey Elaine Garner; and his great-granddaughter, Kenly Rae Bruner, to rest in eternal peace.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, September 25, at Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church, 3652 Roche Avenue, Vernon, FL, with a service following at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Road, Bonifay, following the church service.
