DONALD HENRY SHAFER

Mr. Doanld ‘Don’ Henry Shafer, age 90, of Bonifay, Florida passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025.  He was born February 4, 1935, in Princeton, Indiana.  Don was an Air Force Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient.  Don spent forty-four years in the military where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.  Upon retirement from the military, Don opened Bid-A-Wee Storage and Pack N Ship business in Panama City Beach, Florida.  Once Don retired from his business he spent his time on his small farm with his wife, Jennifer Smith Shafer in Bonifay, Florida.  Don is survived by his wife, Jennifer ‘Jenny’ and his two daughters, Natasha Dawn Roembach and Theresa Lichauco, as well as a stepdaughter, Summer Odem and a stepson, Lionel Smith and five grandchildren. 

A celebration of Don’s life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 4, 2025, at The Tabernacle at Shafer Farms.  Don will be laid to rest in the Shafer Cemetery in Bonifay, Florida.
