Ms. Erma Jean Pugh, age 89, of Caryville, Florida passed away December 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 17, 1934, in Andalusia, Alabama to the late Clarence Lee Parr and Lois Grimes Parr. In addition to her parents, Ms. Pugh was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Pugh, an infant son, one son, Weasel Pugh, and three sisters, Elaine Parr, Ruby Smith, and Wynean Maddox.
Ms. Pugh is survived by three children, Donnie Pugh and Carolyn of Gritney, FL, Debbie Pugh of Caryville, FL, and Becky Graham and Jeff of Caryville, FL; one daughter-in-law, Faye Pugh of Caryville, FL; four grandchildren, Jason Pugh and Miranda, Austin Pugh and Chaise, Summer Graham, and DJ Pugh and Portia; ten great-grandchildren, Clayton, Colby & Taylor, Claudia & Isaiah, Courtney, Kendall, Lucas, Kason, Scarlett, Brackin, and Awtumm; one great-great-grandchild, Mackenzie; special granddaughters, Lauren Pugh and Jennifer Cassidy; one brother, Wilton Parr of Panama City, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 10, 2023, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Richbourg and Rev. Jerrod Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Caryville City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 2:00 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
