Mr. Gayle Stuart Evans, age 73, passed away at home with his wife by his side on November 29, 2021. He was born June 20, 1948, to Wilbur Glen Evans and Pearl McGlasson Evans in Winchester, Illinois. He was married to Jackie McDonald in 1971 and she survives him. He is also survived by three sons, Cortney Evans of Pueblo, CO, Robert Matthew (Jennifer) Evans of Cedar City, UT and Shawn (Kelly) Evans of Ocala, FL. Along with four grandchildren, Logan Evans, Cash Evans, and Colton and Hannah Evans. One sister, Janet (Keith) Sloan of Sacramento, CA. One brother, Steve Evans of Winchester, IL. Along with Several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jean McDonald of Bonifay, FL. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Spencer Evans, Carol ‘Wimp’ Evans, and Darrell Evans and three sisters, Marilyn Francis, Nina Marie Evans, and Beverly Evans.
Mr. Evans spent most of his life ranching and buying and selling land. He loved being outside and working. Gayle loved people and always would ask people their names and never forgot them. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Evans Home. Memorialization was by cremation.
