Mr. Gene Raymond Bush, Sr., age 83, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 5, 2020 at his home. He was born March 23, 1937 in Bonifay, Florida to the late Ivey Bush and Vietta French Bush. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bush was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Simpson and one brother, Albert Bush.
Mr. Bush served proudly in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Bush is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merlene Bush; three children, Gene Bush and wife Lynn of Bonifay, FL, Loretta Smith and husband Harold of Bonifay, FL and Bruce Bush and wife Joy of Lake Placid, FL; ten grandchildren, Terrin Kavetsky and David, Levi Bush and Rachel, Whitney Smith Milburn and Cody, Haleigh Bush, Damon Smith, Madison Bush, Daysha Smith, Dayne Bush, Blayr Bush and Emmalene Bush; five great-grandchildren, Cooper, Hayden, Colby, Haiven and Lennox; one sister, Annie Ruth Lee of Bonifay, FL; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Grace Fellowship Christian Church with Rev. James Bush, Rev. Roger Whitaker and Rev. Jarrod Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Grace Fellowship Christian Church.
