Gregory Winston Collins “Ox”, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 9, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1964, to Winston and Ruth Collins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Lynch, his maternal grandparents, William “Ox” and Sally Long, paternal grandparents Henry and Minne Lee Collins, uncles Buddy Long, Huey Long, Genie Long, Cecil Long, Randall Long, Whit Collins, and W.A. Collins, aunts Louise Smith, Lois Long, Nadine Hall, Dorothy Nell Denham, Patricia Odom, Eunice Hobbs, Geraldine Collins, Hazel Lewis, and Laura Collins. He is survived by one special, loving aunt, Connie Lowery.
Greg was a loving father to Jennifer Lagman (Tony) and Jessica Hawkins (Tray) and grandfather to Jesse Lagman, Kason and Kaylee Hawkins. He is also survived by his siblings, Kevin Collins (Vanessa), Shawn Collins, and LeAnn Collins, nieces and nephews, DeAnna Windham (James), Madison Collins, Mikala Bellville (Micah), Gabe Collins, Gavin Moore, and Ava Collins Roberts, as well as great nieces and nephew, Rheagan, Ruthie, and Reid Dawsey, River and Ramsey Windham, Logan Bellville, and John Moore.
Greg was a graduate of Bethlehem High School. After graduation, he went to work in the family business, Collins Logging. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and in being part of the family business.
Above all, Greg loved his family. He had a generous heart and was always eager to help anyone in need. If someone needed a helping hand, Greg was the kind of person who would be there without hesitation. His willingness to help others and his genuine care for the people around him were qualities that made him special to so many.
His absence will leave a space that cannot be filled, but the memories he created with his family and friends will remain forever. Greg's life was a testament to the importance of family, hard work, and being there for others. Greg “Ox” Collins will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2026, in the Black Community Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
