Ms. Gwendolyn ‘Gwen’ Ruth Pippin, age 78, of Bonifay, Florida passed away May 21, 2023, at her home. She was born May 1, 1945, in Washington County Florida to the late Nolan Finch and Edna Ruth Gillis Finch. In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Earl Pippin, a son, Alan Pippin, a brother, Don Finch, and a sister, Diane Adams.
Ms. Pippin is survived by one son, Kelly Pippin and wife Stephanie of Bonifay, FL; two daughters, Jennifer Glover and husband Bud of Westville, FL and Dawn Sellers and husband Ronnie of Bonifay, FL; one daughter-in-law, Patty Pippin of Young Harris, GA; eleven grandchildren, Dr. Jerrid and Dr. Mary Pippin, Mary Elizabeth and Jaime Medina, Hannah and Edgar Mayorga, Dusty and Faith Harris, Kellan and Brittany Sellers, Shelby and Jeanette Sellers, Sarah and Kevin Ingram, JennaRaye and Austin Folds, Seth Pippin, Ethan Harris, Domnic Glover; seventeen great-grandchildren, Jerrid Pippin II, Leona Pippin, Matthew Pippin, Marcus Mayorga, Addison Mayorga, Isabella Mayorga, Nolan Medina, Noah Medina, Charlie Medina, Gracie Harris, Kolt Harris, Addison Harris, Terry Folds, EmmiRaye Folds, Kimberlynn Sellers, Riverlyn Sellers, and Lala Sellers; one brother, Leonard Finch and wife Barbara of Chipley, FL; one sister, Christine Pearson and husband Billy of Bonifay, FL; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, May 24, at Peel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Poplar Head Freewill Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Poplar Head Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
