Mr. James Otis Paramore, age 99, of Bonifay, Florida passed away September 21, 2021, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay. He was born September 6, 1922, to the late Shelley Otis Paramore and Eunice Earl Trotter Paramore. In addition to his parents, Mr. Paramore was preceded in death by his wife, Lonie Mae Paramore, one daughter, Sybil Elaine Paramore, and five siblings, Roxie Keller, Ruby Smith, Fred Paramore, Billy Paramore, and Bessie Mae Goolsby.
Mr. Paramore was born in Ozark, Dale County, Alabama. In 1950 he moved to Sylvester, Georgia and then eventually made Holmes County his home in 1988 until his death. He was a World War II veteran and worked many years logging in the forestry industry. Early in his life he enjoyed fishing and hunting, but later in life his joy was piddling on stuff as a mechanic.
Mr. Paramore is survived by three children, Diane Webb and husband Richard of Bonifay, FL, Dennis Paramore and wife Judy of Camilla, GA, and Scotty Paramore of Bonifay, FL; three grandchildren, Matthew Webb, Jamie Paramore, and Greg Paramore; four great-grandchildren, Jude Paramore, Noah Paramore, Mia Webb, and Aurora Webb; eight siblings, Emma Lou Smith of Colquitt, GA, Lawrence Paramore of Sylvester, GA, Betty Ruth Fain and husband Emmett of Ozark, AL, Wilford Paramore of Sylvester, GA, Claude Paramore of Sylvester, GA, Charles Paramore of Sylvester, GA, Mary Casterline of Forsyth, GA, and Donald Paramore of Albany, GA; numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 27, 2021, in the Hopeful Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ozark, Alabama with Rev. Jesse Hobbs officiating.
