Mr. James William ‘Billy’ Strickland, age 87, of Bonifay, Florida passed away March 10, 2020 at his home. He was born October 4, 1932 in Bonifay, Florida to the late W.M. and Susie French Strickland. In addition to his parents, Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by one son, Donnie Ray Strickland and several siblings.
Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Peggy Neel Strickland of Bonifay, FL; two sons, James Ray Strickland and wife Barbara of Chipley, FL and Danny Ray Strickland and wife, Angela of Warner Robins, GA; a daughter-in-law, Pam Strickland of Bonifay, FL; one step-daughter, Renea Hollon of Bristol, FL; one step-son, Jason Hollon and wife Amanda of Dayton, NV; six grandchildren, Karen Woodham and Ricky, Dustin Strickland and Carissa, Daniel Strickland, Dillon Strickland, Cody Strickland and Hannah, Caleb Strickland and Marie; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 13, 2020, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitch Johnson and Rev. Gary Birge officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Peel Funeral Home.
