Mr. Joe Dewayne Wilson, age 80, of Dothan, Alabama passed away April 14, 2024, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. He was born April 10, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Melvin Goodwin, his mother, Opal Grace Paul Goodwin, two sons, Dean A. Wilson and Robert Dean Harris, and two siblings, Jack Wilson and Linda Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Wilson of Dothan, AL; two sons, Damon Wilson and wife Rachel of Enterprise, AL and Adam Wilson and wife Kisha of Cowarts, AL; five grandchildren, Britney Wilson Wallace, Chandler Wilson, Brandon Harris, Christopher Harris, and Jessie Harris; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Laiklyn; three siblings, Gary Wilson and wife Nancy, Rita Horner and Joyce Ditto; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Bethlehem Community Church, 1662 Bethlehem Church Road, Bonifay, Florida. Interment with military honors will be held in the Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Peel Funeral Home.
