Mr. Joseph ‘Joe’ Burel Singletary, age 64, of Bonifay, Florida passed away April 21, 2024, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. He was born April 15, 1960, in Eloise, Florida to the late Molnoski Singletary and Georgia Carolyn Powell Singletary. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie Singletary, one brother, Issac Singletary, and one grandchild, Jasmine Bortle.
Mr. Singletary is survived by four children, Joseph Singletary of Bonifay, FL, Maria Singletary of Caryville, FL, Jessica Singletary of Bonifay, FL, and Ashley Singletary of Bonifay, FL; five grandchildren, Phillip ‘Butter’ Bortle Jr., Kaylup Singletary, Passion Thomas, and Cadience Lumpkin; son-in-law, Phillip Bortle Sr. of Bonifay, FL; one sister, Margaret Lewis of Bonifay, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
