JUDITH  MILLER  GEORGE

Mrs. Judith ‘Judy’ Miller George, age 76, of Bonifay, Florida passed away April 26, 2024, at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Medical in Panama City, Florida.  She was born January 3, 1948, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Curtis Asbury Miller Jr. and Margaret Jean Ross Miller.

 

Judy was a beloved educator, devoted family member, and cherished community member. For a decade, she imparted her passion for literature as a high school English teacher in Holmes County and Santa Rosa County, Florida. Judy's love for reading was evident, as was her adoration for her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

 

A faithful member of Carmel Assembly of God Church, Judy continued her teaching endeavors by sharing her wisdom as a Sunday School teacher. Beyond her dedication to education, Judy served as the Vice President of Curt Miller Oil Company, where she managed every facet of the family business with unwavering commitment. Her presence in the store was marked by her attentive ear and willingness to assist anyone who crossed her path.

 

Judy's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and service to others. She touched countless lives with her teaching, her leadership, and her genuine care for those around her. Judy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

 

Mrs. George is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bobby George of Bonifay, FL; two sons, Ryan George and wife Leah of Bonifay, FL and Brad George and wife Iris of Jefferson, GA; eight grandchildren, Ivy, Jade, Olivia, Logan, Madi, Corbin, Eric, and Jonas; one brother, Gary ‘Rock’ Miller and wife Jane of Opp, AL; a sister-in-law, Brenda Steverson and husband Tim of Bonifay, FL.

 

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Carmel Assembly of God Church.  Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Carmel Assembly of God Church.
