Mr. Leroy Steverson, age 87, of Bonifay, Florida passed away September 29, 2021, at his home. He was born January 18, 1934, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Mila Lee Steverson and Esther Luvada Smith Steverson. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Steverson, one son, Andy Steverson, one step-son, Steve Moore, three brothers, Lynn Steverson, Willard Steverson, and Ike Steverson, and one sister, Madline McFatter.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Myrtice Teen Steverson; five sons, Jimmy Steverson and wife Lisa, Billy Steverson and wife Terri, Dan Steverson and wife Chris, Paul Steverson and wife Brooke, and Adam Steverson and wife Vicki; three step sons, Charles Brown and wife Kim, Tim Brown, and Mike Moore and wife Sherry; ten granddaughters and six grandsons, seven step-granddaughters and two step-grandson, eleven great-granddaughters and nine great-grandsons, five step-great-granddaughters and five step-great-grandsons; five sisters, Catherine Owens, Pauline Farmer, Corine Steverson and Willie Vann, Maxine Bell and husband Ed, Christine Griffin and husband Jeff; one brother, Marshall Steverson and wife Gerry; two sisters-in-law, Joan Steverson and Beverly Steverson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Bell, Rev. Chris Steverson, and Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12 to 1 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.
