Ms. Lois Emily Watson Meeks Baker, age 89, of Westville, Florida passed away October 29, 2023, at her home. She was born December 5, 1933, in Holmes County, Florida to the late Cyrus ‘Sie’ A. Watson and Lorena Larkin Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Goodrich Meeks and Cleve Baker; four brothers, Charlie Watson, Maurice Watson, Willy Watson, and Everett Watson, and three sisters, Mary Helen Harris, Etta Mae Bradley, and Alice Coatney.
Ms. Watson is survived by four sons, Kenneth Meeks of Bonifay, FL, Jimmy Meeks and wife Tonia of Tallahassee, FL, Phillip Meeks and wife Debbie of Westville, FL, and Timmy Meeks and wife Millie of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Hubert Watson and wife Diane of Caryville, FL; one sister, Janie Beck of Caryville, FL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Campground Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at Peel Funeral Home.
