Mary Ellen Piccirillo, age 87, of Bonifay, Florida passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023. Mary was born June 28, 1936, in the Bethlehem community of Holmes County to James Joseph Paulk and Rosa Urquhart Paulk. She was the youngest of eighteen children. Mary left Holmes County in the early 1960’s, living in various locations in the United States and overseas while raising her family. In 1980, she returned to Bonifay. Mary worked for the Holmes District School Board for over ten years before retiring in 1998. She loved to work in her yard and visit friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seventeen siblings.
She is survived by her son Charles Piccirillo and wife Lisbeth of Bonifay, daughter Nora Parish and husband Wyatt of Bonifay, grandchildren Alexandra Underwood of Birmingham, AL, Benjamin Parish of Bonifay, Charlie Ann Truette of Chipley, FL and Albert Piccirillo, five great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Sunday, September 10, 2023, at First Baptist Bonifay. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Bonifay Cemetery with Dr. Shelly Chandler officiating. Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
