MILDRED LOUVENIA JONES MUSIC

Ms. Mildred Louvenia Jones Music, age 85, of Bonifay, Florida passed away March 9, 2026, at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, Florida.  She was born on April 9, 1940, in Wauchula, Florida to the late Harrison C. Jones and Hazel Dailey Jones.  In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by two children, Karen Parris and Aaron Music, two siblings, Melvin Jones and Bettie Sue Blow, and one great-grandchild, Mica O’Neal.

Mildred Music was a kind and giving soul who spent her life helping others whenever she could. She found great joy in serving people and sharing small acts of kindness that made a big difference in the lives of those around her.  Mildred had a special talent for making crosses, which she lovingly created and gave away as gifts. Each cross was a reflection of her faith and her desire to encourage others. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and lived her life guided by that faith.  Above all else, Mildred had a deep love for her animals, and she cared for them with great devotion.

Ms. Music is survived by three children, Sharon O’Neal Myers of PA, James W. Music and wife Rhonda of Elmendorf, TX, and Christina Lynch of Fayetteville, NC; one sister, Jane Isaac of GA; three grandchildren, Shey Music, Kristy O’Neal, and Dondi Powell; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 14, 2025, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Steverson Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9 to 10 AM Saturday at Peel Funeral Home.
