PATRICIA VIRGINIA HARDY WILLIAMS

Ms. Patricia Virginia Hardy Williams, age 87, of Good Hope, Georgia, formerly of Panama City, Florida passed away January 6, 2026.  She was born May 7, 1938, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Willis Allen Hardy and Myrtle Corrine Mason Hardy.  In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Daylon Lloyd Williams and one granddaughter, Marisa Williams.

Patricia was a graduate of Florida State University, where she was a member of the renowned FSU Flying High Circus during her college years. Following her education, Patricia went on to have a successful career as an executive secretary in the Economics Department at Duke University, where she was respected for her professionalism, diligence, and commitment.  Patricia was a dedicated sports fan who especially enjoyed watching Duke and Florida State University basketball, loyalties that reflected important chapters of her life.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including reading, working crossword puzzles, and spending cherished time with her family.

Ms. Williams is survived by one son, Charles Allen Williams and wife Donna of Good Hope, GA; three grandchildren, Amy Jeffrey, David Jeffrey and wife Kristin, and Joshua Jeffrey and Katelynn; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Jeffrey, Noah Jeffrey, Brogin Jeffrey, Liliana Jeffrey, Melody Jeffrey, and Emily Jeffrey; mother of great-granddaughter, Karla Commander.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2026, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the East Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Peel Funeral Home.
