RANDALL  LEE  DAVIS

Mr. Randall Lee Davis, age 57, of Caryville, Florida, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away August 11, 2024, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Florida.  He was born May 25, 1967, in Pensacola, Florida.  Randall was preceded in death by his father, Hertis Lee Davis and his son, Curtis Lee Davis.

 

Randall attended Vernon High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for the outdoors.  His good humor and playful spirit as a practical jokester brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

 

Known for his deep love and devotion to his family, Randall's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to those he held dear.  Randall was an active member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon. His strong faith and sense of community were evident in his warm, sweet fellowship with friends and fellow church members. He often shared his belief in the goodness of God with those around him. His final words, "God is good," reflect the deep faith that guided him throughout his life. 

 

Dedicated to service, Randall was a volunteer firefighter with the Five Points and Hinson's Crossroads Departments. His bravery and selflessness were further exemplified by his service in the United States Marine Corps. In 2007, Randall began his career with the Florida Forestry Service, where he served with distinction as a senior ranger, dedicating himself to the protection and preservation of Florida's natural resources.  Randall's legacy of love, faith, humor, kindness, and service will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

 

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 24 years, Julie Christina Davis of Caryville, FL; his daughter, Katie Lynn Honeycutt and husband Dylan of Chipley, FL; his son, Brandon Jenkins and wife Hollye of Bonifay, FL; his three grandchildren, Barry Honeycutt, Jessie Honeycutt, and Magnolia Jenkins; his mother, Mary Jeane Davis of Bonifay, FL; one sister, Sheila McMahon and husband Michael of High Springs, FL; four nieces, Jessica West, Natahsa Mills, Jennifer Brown, and Melody Bryant; one nephew, William Bryant; one great-niece, Hailey West; one great-nephew, Gabriel Bryant; several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
