RICKEY GENE WARD

Mr. Rickey Gene Ward, age 69, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 17, 2025, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.  He was born July 21, 1955, in Panama City, Florida.  Rickey was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ward, his wife, Martha Ward, one brother, Dewayne Ward, and one son, Dustin Ward.

Mr. Ward is survived by one daughter, Julie Bodie and husband John of Bonifay, FL; one son, Kevin Ward of Denver, CO; his mother, Monette Ward of Bonifay, FL; four grandchildren, Kasie MacConnell, Cody Lane and wife Reba, John Dylian Bodie and wife Lizzy, and Haley Bodie and husband Derrick; 18 great-grandchildren, Chloe Lane, Emma Lane, Cody Lane Jr., Tucker Lane, Cammeron MacConnell, Easton MacConnell, Decklyn Lane, Bryson Russ, Raelynn Bodie, Gabriel Bodie, Raven Bodie, Gianna White, Kymberlynn Russell, Destini Ringo, Daisy Russell, Landen Russell, Eastan Russell, and Alden Dee; two brothers, Byron Ward and wife Gail of Marianna, FL and Roger Ward and Misty McClendon of Bonifay, FL: several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2025, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends before the service.  Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
