Mr. Roland Yates, Jr. age 91, of Chipley, Florida passed away November 11, 2021, at his home. He was born July 13, 1930, in Washington County, Florida to the late Roland Yates and Eunice Miller Yates. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yates was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Graham and Tami Mace, one son, Jamie Yates, two brothers, Wade Yates and Roy Yates, one sister, Virginia Yates, and two sons-in-law, Eddie Lord and Benjamin Barnes.
Mr. Yates is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sarah Yates of Chipley, FL; two sons, Jonathan Yates of Chipley, FL and Christopher Yates of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Rhona Barnes of Flomaton, AL and Angel Lord of Pensacola, FL; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing.
