SONYA TERESA CHRISTENSON

Ms. Sonya Teresa Christenson, age 61, of Bonifay, Florida passed away May 18, 2024, at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida.  She was born July 19, 1962, in Opp, Alabama to the late Gerald Wayne Whitman and Dorothy Jeanette Hall Whitman.  In addition to her parents, Sonya was preceded in death by one brother, Angelo Whitman.

Ms. Christenson is survived by two sons, Jesse Christenson of Bonifay, FL and Jeremy Christenson and wife Laura Perkins of Bonifay, FL; three grandchildren, Makenzie Christenson, Colby Stiles, and Atticus Christenson; two sisters, Tish Barton and husband Scott of Altha, FL and Wendy Epley of Bonifay, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
