LEROY COOPER

Mr. Leroy Cooper, age 81, of Caryville, Florida passed away May 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 10, 1944, in Bay Minette, Alabama.  Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Walter Benjamin Cooper, his mother, Catherine Thomley Cooper Wages, two brothers, Jerry Cooper and Clinton Cooper, and three sisters, Edna Carmley, Gladys Galloway, and Lettie Collins.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Cooper of Caryville, FL, three children, Pauline Paul and John of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Natasha Cooper and Chris Wood of Milton, FL, and John Cooper and Heather of Caryville, FL; one sister, Vitana Gordon of Caryville, FL; one brother, Leon Cooper of Caryville, FL; nine grandchildren, Bubba Cooper, Shellie Murray, Slim Murray, Odie Murray, Shay Paul, Joanie Paul, Taree Curry, Kayla Curry, and Reagan Cooper; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Peel Funeral Home.
