Ms. Wanda Lynn Mayo, age 64, of Chipley, Florida passed away April 24, 2024, at her home. She was born August 21, 1959, in Clinton, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her father, James Arland Carter, her mother, Wanda Sue Jones Wilford, and one brother, James Arland Carter Jr. aka Uncle Chicken.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of playing pool, gardening, and flowers, along with her passion for fishing. Wanda cherished moments spent with her family, finding joy in their company. “She was really good at dukes of hazard and cars.”
Ms. Mayo is survived by one daughter, Betsy Case and husband Billy of Bardwell, KY; two grandchildren, Austin Case and Alexis and Erin Case; one great-grandchild, Mason Case; two sisters, Angela Newton of Chipley, FL and Laura Bodie and Cody Yates of Chipley, FL; special great-niece, Destiny Noel Yates; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024, in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
