BILLY JOE MITCHELL

Mr. Billy Joe Mitchell, age 59, of Caryville, Florida passed away May 4, 2026.  He was born on August 6, 1966, in Marion County, Florida.  Billy Joe was preceded in death by his father, Willie Mac Mitchell and two brothers, William Mitchell and Edward Connell.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his daughters, Cheyenne Mitchell and Summer Pippin; one grandson, Kole Riley; his mother, Edna Clarice Guerrant; his biological mother, Karen Moore; four sisters, Darla Sue Woods, Violet Mitchell, Amber Mitchell, and Michell Connell; best friend and mother of his daughter, Kristie Tillis; several nieces and nephews.

Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.  A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ of Caryville with Rev. Edward Williams officiating.
