Diane “DeeDee” Duguay Kennedy, age 73, of Bonifay, FL formerly of Henderson, TN and Athol, MA passed away on January 10, 2024. She was born August 24, 1950, in Athol, Massachusetts to the late Lester J Duguay and Evelyn LeDuc Duguay. In addition to her parents, DeeDee was preceded in death by her husband Thomas “TK” Kennedy. She was a homemaker for many years. During her homemaker years, she took in and cared for many children at some of the most critical times in their lives. She started her career with Verizon in 1991 as a telephone operator. She was a telephone operator for Verizon for 19 years when she retired in 2010. Upon her retirement she moved to Henderson, TN where she lived for 12 ½ years before moving to Bonifay, FL in 2023.
She was an avid reader and loved watching game shows. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a warm soul who touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.
Diane is survived by her three children, Rev. Linette (Damon) Shepardson and her husband, Michael, of Bonifay, FL, Tracy Damon and her longtime companion, Bruce Loding of Barre, MA and Ronald Damon and his wife, Susan of Fitchburg, MA. Granddaughters Hannah Shepardson of Bonifay, FL with whom she lived with, Emily Shepardson of Antioch, TN, and Sarah Lemasters and her husband Brent of Bonifay, FL. Grandsons David Niall of Leominster, MA, Matthew Favreau of Virginia Beach, VA, and Channing Favreau and his wife Kyrstin of Fitchburg, MA. Great granddaughter Evelyn Riley and great grandson Ace Shepardson both of Bonifay, FL and her three brothers Marc Duguay and his wife, Carol and John Duguay both of Athol, MA and Lester Duguay Jr and his wife Debbie of Apex, NC, her two sisters Marina Cegiel of Athol, MA and Jeanne Griggs and her husband Tony of Hinsdale, NH. Along with many others that she considered her children along with many nieces and nephews.
The memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, FL in charge of arrangements.
