GREGORY ALAN VARNER

 Mr. Gregory ‘Greg’ Alan Varner, age 64, of Westville, Florida passed away October 25, 2025, at his home.  He was born June 7, 1961, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Mr. Varner was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Mathias Varner and one brother, David Lawrence Varner.

Greg was the proud owner of Southern Roofing, where his hard work and dedication earned him the respect and trust of many throughout the community.

Greg was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting.  He was talented and creative with his woodworking skills, and he especially loved spending his days watching football on TV.   He enjoyed coaching little league and shared his passion for sports with countless kids over the years, leaving a lasting impact on both the field and in their lives.

Known for his generous heart, Greg was a true giver.  Always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with those he loved most.

His legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for family and community will live on in all who knew him.

Mr. Varner is survived by his mother, Margaret Arline East Balle; one son, Ryan Carrington Varner; stepmother, Mozelle Varner; fiancée, Kimberly Wild; two stepsons, Austin Burlingame and Brandon Burlingame; three siblings, Michael Scott Varner, Christopher Reese Varner and Deborah Lynn Varner Bradford and husband Larry; one stepbrother, Michael Ray Varner; four nephews, Justin Bradford, Tyler Bradford, Lance Bradford, and Anthony Varner; three nieces, Amanda Varner, Samantha Varner, and Carleigh Varner.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2025, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 5 to 6 PM at Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
