Mr. Gregory Mel Harcus, age 47, of Caryville, Florida passed away March 11, 2021 at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. He was born August 23, 1973 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Mel B. ‘Buck’ Harcus, one son, Stetson Lee Harcus, and one daughter, Dakota Paige Harcus.
Gregory is survived by his mother, Janet Harcus of Caryville, FL, his wife, Heather Harcus of Chipley, FL, five children, Milton Daniel Harcus of Caryville, FL, Nathan Edward Harcus of Vernon, FL, Tera Chancey of Cottondale, FL, Massey Carroll of Bonifay, FL, and Matthew Carroll of Bonifay, FL; three grandchildren, Marilyn Alice Harcus, Milton Harcus, and Cylee Curry; two sisters, Melba Harcus and husband, Tom Brewster of Caryville, FL and Krystal Carroll of Ponce de Leon, FL; one brother, Michael Williams and wife Kelly of Westville, FL; aunts and uncles, Cary Gay, Carolyn Morris, Betty Pettingill, and Pasco Gay; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, March 15, 2021, at Grace Fellowship Christian Church. Interment will follow in the New Effort Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 Sunday at Peel Funeral Home.
