Mr. William ‘Bill’ Franklin Lyster, age 86, of Leonia, Florida passed away April 5, 2023, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Florida. He was born October 31, 1936, in Holmes County Florida to the late Leverette Franklin ‘Buck’ Lyster and Ruby Catherine Pagett Lyster. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one daughter, Monica Lyster and one brother, Charles W. Lyster.
Bill is survived by one daughter, Ronda Roberts of Dothan, AL; one sister, Frances Lyster Jacobs of Niceville, FL; one grandson, Stephen Kasica and wife Shalaya; one great-grandson, Kasten; three nieces, Janet Morse, Vicki Grace, and Amanda Lyster Ulam; one nephew, Ronald Jacobs.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in the Leonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Bill and I have been friends since 1956 when we we're working on USAF helicopters in Texas. We retired after 20 years and stayed in contact. I'm going to miss those long telephone calls. Bill C
